Welcome to Escher

Escher is an AI agent for Cloud Operations. Ask what happened across your AWS and Azure estate. Get an answer with evidence — in minutes, not hours.

This guide is for the people responsible for cloud infrastructure at a growing company: founders and CTOs who own the AWS bill and the SOC 2, platform engineers, SecOps and FinOps leads, and the on-call who got paged at 2am with six tabs already open.

What Escher does

Escher is a desktop app that connects to your cloud accounts (read-only) and answers natural-language questions about your infrastructure. It does the work that normally requires opening five consoles, exporting CSVs, and writing a SQL query against your billing data.

You ask: "Why did our bill spike last week?" Escher returns: a Canvas — a structured answer with the responsible change identified, the affected resources listed, and the dollar impact quantified, with citations to the exact billing line, deployment, and config change.

TIP

Escher is read-only by default. It never modifies your cloud resources unless you explicitly approve an action.

Three things Escher is for

1. Cost questions you can't answer fast enough

Your CFO emails: "Why did the AWS bill jump 60% this month?" Without Escher, that's an afternoon. With Escher, it's four minutes — and the answer ships with the exact change, the responsible team, and the remediation estimate.

2. Compliance and audit prep

SOC 2 in eight weeks instead of six months. Escher maps every control to the cloud resources that satisfy it (or don't), highlights gaps, and generates the evidence pack auditors actually accept.

3. Incident root cause

2am page. Symptoms unclear. Escher correlates deployments, config changes, IAM events, and metric anomalies across all three clouds in one pass. Root cause in three minutes — not three hours of dashboard archaeology.
